From the Potter.
I have a lot of respect for people who can create beautiful things with their hands.
I took a pottery class once, and was astounded at how difficult it was to make something even, well, normal looking. So when I see a piece of hand made ceramics, I’m impressed, and appreciate the time & effort involved in learning & perfecting the skill. I’m surprised at how much hand-made pottery I find at Thrift Town, since it is special to me, I tend to think people would hold on to it, but am always happy when I find it there.
{ matching brown bowls & tea green cracked glazed bowl – each under $3.00 }
On a recent trip, I walked through the kitchen section and pulled a couple pieces that could go together a few ways, decoratively, or functionally.

{ all three hand-made vases, under $3.00 each. }
{ beautiful together – the vase is $7.99 }
Looking around online at home-goods stores, ceramic bolws, whatever the size, are very pricey.
The prices I found at Thrift Town are 1/2, sometimes 1/3 of what you’d pay elsewhere. Check us out first before you go spend the big bucks somewhere else!

What a great way to find “one of a kind” gifts for friends. I love hearing them say “Where did you find this?” When they open their presents.
Finding hand-made secondhand gems is so gratifying. I just found a gorgeous hand-made vintage necklace today that will be my friend’s birthday gift next month. So much more special that way.
