Simple Summer Thrifted Looks

Hello all you Texas Thrift Town Fans – Greetings from sunny California!

I know I often write about fun goings-on here in Sacramento where I live & blog, but that we have a LOT more stores than just here on the very-west coast. So today, I thought I’d bring you all some lovely goodness from someone else’s neck of the woods: Indiana from Texas – you inspire us!

A gorgeous former actress, fashion blogger and mother of a new little one, Indiana loves loves LOVES to thrift, and is opening up her own online vintage shop with her sister from Florida soon. My kinda girl.

I know it’s Summer, and your probably thinking that this is an outfit she posted a long time ago… not true. According to Indiana, because it’s so hot out, Texans tend to blast the A/C, making inside conditions downright arctic. Mind you, I write this as I pull on a cardigan at my desk in my frigid office while the temps outside are blazing. This bright, bold retro blazer is a perfect piece to layer on top of an effortless sundress to chase away the office air chill and make a fun summer statement.

The buttery loafers are a great alternative to sandals in the office environment. Easier on the feet than heels, but still mean business.  She got this particular pair at the Austin Thrift Town.

Speaking of effortless Summer dresses, I just had to share one more of her outfits, and I’ll be honest -
I WANT THIS DRESS!

Indiana found this dress at Thrift Town for $10. Can you believe it?! Similar dresses are selling for $100 on eBay.
I can see why this would be one of her favorite pieces.

It would be easy to glam this up for a fancy night out, but I love how she wears it so simply and casually with the brown wedges. Indiana, if you EVER get tired of this dress, I will pay you well for it.
